Lopausee – lake shore walk with many highlights

Active recreation - this is Lopausee with its Lopaupark in the state-approved resort of Amelinghausen.

On the first 300 m from here, you follow paved paths with gentle gradients to two wheelchair-friendly stages from which you can look over the lake. With easy-access benches in the water, you can experience Lopausee and its landscape in a special way.

The Lopausee landscape is characterized by carr woodland and the Lopau spring stream. On the water’s edge, various types of sedge, gypsywort, and purple loosestrife are typical. Also various duck and goose species are to be found here. Learn more at the lake!

Address and directions

Disabled parking is available in "An der Lopau" street in 21385 Amelinghausen. We recommended coming in your own car.

At the weekends from August to September there is the Lüneburg Heath Bike Bus to Amelinghausen. From the bus stop it is about 1.7 km to Lopausee.
